Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem position to provide professional nursing services in a behavioral health setting, focusing on addiction and mental health care.
Required Qualifications
- Successful graduation from ADN or BSN accredited nursing program
- Current Alaska Registered Nurse License
- CPR certified or willingness to become certified
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to situations with good judgment
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with patients suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to climb stairs and lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to interact with patients and families in an empathetic manner
- Knowledge of alcohol use disorder and substance use disorder
